OUR APPROACH TO TRAVEL
We began almost 20 years ago with cultural, ancestry-driven culinary tours of Italy, and expanded to France in 2026 and South Africa beginning in 2027. We believe you can’t truly experience a country by rushing through its major cities—you miss the people, the small towns, and the landscapes in between. Our journeys focus on one region at a time, allowing for deeper connection and less time in transit (with occasional nearby pairings). Each trip is typically 9–10 days and fully all-inclusive.
Experience a 10-day journey through Western Cape, from vibrant Cape Town to the dramatic Cape of Good Hope. Explore the celebrated wine regions of Stellenbosch, Paarl, and Robertson, where world-class vineyards meet breathtaking landscapes. From restorative yoga retreats to iconic wineries and unforgettable dining, this immersive experience captures the very best of the Western Cape’s food, wine, and natural beauty.

The Merchant of Venice, Romeo and Juliet, Two Gentlemen of Verona...
Shakespeare wrote many of his most famous plays based on the myth of The Veneto, the romance, the beauty, the landscapes. We explore this region through the lens of food and wine, with a healthy balance of history, culture and exploration on this ten day all inclusive trip.
We start our trip with a guided walking tour of Verona, a visit to VinItaly, the world's largest Italian wine show, in Verona, and visit the stunning towns of Sirmione and Bardolino to sample local wines and cuisine. We stay at a regal villa for three nights and cook together there each evening.
Then it's off to the Conigliano region for three nights of exploring prosecco, local cuisine and cooking with Leonardo, a dear friend of Michaels, for master classes in spit roasting, Italian Style!
Finally four nights in Venice to explore this glorious historic city. Tours, markets, hidden gem restaurants, museums, Harrys Bar!
