April 9, 2018
Plan your arrival in Verona for between 12 and 3pm
At that point we meet you at the train station or the airport whisk you the 15 minutes to get settled into our villa La Serenella a for 3 nights in the small town of (April 9-11). Our welcome dinner is at a superb local fine dining restaurant
April 10
Day two's highlight is a visit to Verona. The main city in several of Shakespeares plays, it is steeped in history. We will enjoy a walking tour of the city with an experienced local guide and then stop for lunch at a well known trattoria. We'll take in the sites - Juliet's Balcony, the ancient Roman Forum, some beautiful piazzas and hidden corners. Late afternoon we'll head into the Valpolicella hills for a wine tasting at an exclusive estate and then back to the villa for dinner
April 11
The next day we make a day trip to Sirmione and Bardolino. The elegant town of Sirmione is at the top of a finger of land sticking straight into Lake Garda and the home of the Grotto di Catullo, an ancient Veronese palace that commands simply unparalleled views of the region. We lunch at a Michelin starred restaurant right on the lake and then head to the famous wine town of Bardolino for a stroll on the waterfront and a glass of the local red. Some great shopping here for those inclined. Then its back to the villa for a market inspired repast from Chef Michael.

April 10

April 12-15
The next day we depart the Verona region and head east to the Venice region. Enroute we stop in Aqua Petrarcha for lunch and a tasting of the unique Jujube liquor produced only there from the abundant Jujube trees throughout the town. We pass briefly through Padua and view its magnificent Court of Miracles for an afternoon coffee before heading to our next villa. We eat out locally that evening.
The next day is spent with our good friend Leonardo Ricci, descended from an esteemed local family. This is a market and shopping day. If you wish to relax and enjoy the villa and read a book you are welcome, or borrow a bike and cycle the beautiful lanes, or you can join Michael and Leo as they shop for what promises to be a bountiful meal at Leo's House.
The following day we visit the charming town of Congliano, visit the Belvedere and the main shopping area where there is a lovely market, and then head to Collalto Vini for a tasting of superb Proseccos and Vinciguerra, their outstanding local red wine.
Dinner is back at the villa.
April 15-18
Finally we drive a short distance to Venice for three nights and stay in a palazzo still owned by a regal venetian Family mere minutes from the Rialto Bridge. We will enjoy a visit to the Murano Glass Museum, The Lido, the Doges Palace Secret Tour and several great restaurants in and around Venice. We'll visit the Peggy Guggenheim Museum. We'll eat in our regal surroundings one evening to enjoy the cooking of our Venetian Housekeeper/Chef. We give you one day to explore on your own but we will rendezvous mid-day after a special lunch at favourite of Michaels. Our final dinner is at another of Michael's favourite spots. We take a vaporetto to the airport the next morning for departures around 11 am
